We are a part of the Women's Association of Colorado Hockey, where we are currently competing in the B, C, and D Divisions.
Playing Experience

Our B division team is comprised primarily of high-intermediate level players --- We value dedication to playing as a team, bringing a driven nature to our play, and working together to push ourselves to the limit. We also like to let loose and have some fun!
Varsity High School
Non-Varsity College (ACHA) Level
10+ years of women's adult hockey
NCAA Division I or III (a few players per team)

Our C division team is comprised primarily of lower-intermediate level players --- We value dedication to playing as a team, bringing a driven nature to our play, and working together to push ourselves to the limit. We also like to let loose and have some fun!
5-9 years of adult hockey (most players)

Our D division team is is entirely comprised of novice and low-intermediate level adult players --- We value a spirit of getting every woman who is interested in playing a space to feel comfortable starting, a fun learning atmosphere, and working together as a team to get better. We are a fun-loving bunch!
1-5 years of entry level experience (most players)
10+ years of beginner adult hockey (some players)
Our Mission
The Fort Collins Flames is a hockey organization committed to developing Women's Hockey in Northern Colorado. We are striving to create a safe learning atmosphere where we celebrate diversity in hockey ability and unique life situations, while maintaining a competitive drive towards personal improvement. We accomplish this through providing a professional, respectful playing environment with players, team management, and coaches who are committed to the growth of the sport, and passionate about Women's Hockey.
Season
Our winter season lasts from September/October through March/April.
Play-offs are usually held in late March or early April.
Games
Our regular season consists of 12 to 16 games, half of them at home.
Most of our games are in Denver or Northern Colorado, so it is just an hour's drive or less.
Practices
During the regular season we hold weekly practices on Thursday nights at either
7:45 or 8:15. You'll find us at the Green Rink, usually in locker room A.
There are no practices during the holiday season.
In the summer, we host an occasional drop-in on Thursday nights.
